NPS and SAFCell (ex Superprotonic) have entered into a cooperation for final development, testing and delivery of SAFC fuel cell stacks.
Through the agreement NPS has acquired the exclusive rights to this new type of fuel cell stack technology for diesel and bio oils.
With this agreement, NPS is further strengthening its position as a fuel cell APU developer. SAFCell's technology is based on a new class of proton conducting materials operating at a higher temperature (250 C), and has a number of other advantages compared to the current HT PEM stack currently being used.
