Squarehead Technology enables the use of precision audio capture of acoustical events. Systems from Squarehead can both understand where a sound, e.g. a drone, is coming from and focus in on that sound. By filtering out and reducing unwanted noise from areas of no interest.
Squarehead achieves better range and clearer sound compared to conventional systems.
The Discovair G2 acoustic CUAS sensor fills a vital gap in proximity drone detection for expeditionary formations and fixed objects. Strict line-of-sight to UAS targets is not needed for positive tracking. The drone can operate in urban canyons, cluttered areas, behind obstructions and in darkness or fog, out of range for radars and optics, but still within the ‘earshot’ of the Discovair G2 acoustic sensor. Output is provided to an operator screen or to "system of systems" / C2's.
